Kenya Fundraiser/ Lefitz Family

I've known the Lefitz family for many years now and its been a blast watching their family grow from one child to two children to now both of them in school. 

Its a privilege as a photographer to be a part of huge milestones in peoples lives, or even just a yearly Holiday picture. We've had several sessions together over the years, but this one has to be my favorite thus far. 

Kenya fundraiser/ Sipe Family

I remember the first time I met Carrie. She said she had 7 kids and I totally thought she was joking with me...7 KIDS? And they're all yours? She looks like she can be her eldest daughters sister (that's a compliment)!

The Sipe bunch is easy going, fun and game for anything (even pictures in the rain). Thanks for your support Carrie!

Now is it just me or does baby Sage look a lot like baby Irene? Hehehe... we joked about that a bit... "She looks like she could be yours". 

Kenya Fundraiser/ Enyeart Family

Back in September of 2016, I launched a mini session fundraiser for my trip to Africa. I was touched by the amount of support You all showed me and ended up booking 12 sessions in 4 weeks! Each session meant so much and brought me one step closer to Kenya. 

Now that the Holiday card season is over, I'd like to share some of my favorite captures from those sessions with you. I'll spread them out over the next several posts, starting with this beautiful family... 

Baby Lucas

Baby Lucas is the surprise new addition to Pastors Yuriy and Tamila. His family and I did an outdoor session a week prior however his mom wanted a few close up newborn shots of him to treasure. The following week we met up again with his parents warning me that Lucas is a fussy baby and ANY images I get of him would be greatly appreciated. 

It was a delightful surprise to have found baby Lucas smiling for the camera while he parents pranced around behind me, trying to keep him from crying. Sometimes as parents, you gotta do what you gotta do to make the baby smile. Well done parents and baby Lucas!

Bigun Family

There are some people in life that no matter how long you haven't talked or seen each other,  every time you meet again its as if you've been in relationship the entire time. Pastors Yuriy and Tamila are those kind of people. Always friendly, warm and openhearted. 

It has been a joy to watch their family grow and capture moments in different seasons of their lives. This session was no different as they've welcomed a 4th child to their family. 

Thank you for allowing me to document this new chapter in your now family of 6! 

Blur

The end of 2016 is a bit of a blur. Within a 3 months span I traveled to New York to see the end of a 5 year fundraiser, joined a new non-Profit, turned 30, went to Africa, came back and moved to a place of my own. At that point the holidays were in full swing and after the chaos of that season, I'm just now starting to feel like I can catch my breath again.

Overall, 2016 was a good year.

Ethan Luka

My nephew Ethan Luka turns 5 this month and I CAN'T believe how fast 5 years have flown by. This little boy has changed my life and is the reason I started doing photography. From the minute he was born to now I have had a camera in his face, taking pictures of every smile and milestone along the way. He is an absolute character! Super goofy and dramatic, which makes for a fun subject to photograph!
